Dr. Steven M. Roth was co-founder of The Vein Guys® and was dedicated to providing the best possible treatment and care for his patients. Dr. Roth's commitment to excellence and strong vision enabled The Vein Guys® to grow from one office in Augusta, GA to multiple offices in the southeast. The Vein Guy'® staff continues to work to carry out Dr. Roth's vision and commitment to excellence.
Dr. Steven Roth was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his younger years, Dr. Roth lived in North Carolina, West Virginia and settled in Virginia where he attended college at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. He majored in Microbiology and Chemistry completing his B.S. degree. Dr. Roth then went on to study foodborne pathogens and obtain an M.S. degree.
Vascular Surgery & Medical Training
Dr. Steven Roth was fellowship trained and Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Roth received specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases in all parts of the body.
Dr. Roth received his M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1992 and completed the General Surgery residency program in Norfolk. He received an appointment into the post-graduate Vascular Surgery Fellowship training program at the University of South Florida in Tampa. During this time, Dr. Roth began learning about minimally invasive vein procedures and how these procedures could revolutionize the treatment of vein disease. In 2004, he began focusing solely on the treatment of vein disease in the legs and created his own vein care facility, the Vein Care Pavilion of the South (now called the Vein Guys®).
A Leading Published Physician
Dr. Roth was published in the EVRFA (Endovenous Radio Frequency Ablation) technique and was asked to teach courses to physicians from around the country and world for the treatment of venous reflux disease and all types of unwanted veins.
