NLite Laser

The NLite Laser is best known for wrinkle reduction around the periocular or eye area but it was recently FDA approved to treat vascular lesions with the new vascular upgrade attachment. The Vein Guys use this laser to treat facial spider veins, telangiectasias and other vascular lesions of the face.

The NLite Laser is a Pulse Dye Laser which emits a wavelength of yellow laser light using a patented technology called: SmartPulse. The SmartPulse yellow laser light targets the small blood vessels beneath the skin's surface. As the blood vessels absorb the heat the body's natural collagen production is stimulated. Collagen helps to improve surface skin and make the skin appear more youthful. Also, the NLite Laser actually targets and kills acne causing bacteria for those who have cystic acne and other less severe acne conditions. NLite treatments have clinically been proven to heal and improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rosacea
  • Vascular lesions
  • Broken Capillaries

NLite Laser treatments can take 15 minutes to one hour depending on the condition and treatment area. The NLite Laser is passed over the facial area presenting the vascular lesion and/or wrinkle. Our patients usually tell us they experience a warm sensation as the laser passes. Goggles or eye protection must be worn during the entire procedure to protect your eyes.

Many of the Vein Guys' patients require little to no recovery time after the NLite treatment and are able to return to their daily activities immediately. On rare occasions, some individuals may experience swelling, bruising or slight blistering after the treatment and this can be easily alleviated with an ice compress. The NLite Laser is considered a non-ablative laser, meaning the epidermal layer of the skin(outer nonvascular layer of skin) does not experience damage or insult so a patient does not undergo a period of downtime or extended recovery.
